 The Institute for Olive Tree and Subtropical Plants has the following laboratory and field equipment:

-For measuring physiological parameters:

  • Plant water status measuring devices (pressure chamber, pshychometer, porometer etc).
  • Portable photosynthesis device (LI-6400) photosynthesis yield analyzer (MINI-PAM), Plant canopy analyzer (LAI-2000).

-For soil, water and plant tissue analyses:

  • Soil angers for all soil types and non-disturbed samples.
  • Soil moisture measuring devices (pressure plate apparatus, tensiometer, TDRs etc.).
  • Soil salinity measuring device in situ (salt salinity bridge).
  • Equipment for measuring physico-chemical characteristics of water and wastewater (pH, EC, inorganic ions, COD, BOD etc.).
  • Equipment for analysis and measurement of soil physico-chemical characteristics (pH, salinity, texture, organic matter, infiltration rate, CaCO3 , etc.).
  • N-total determination (Kjeldhal) for soil, water and plant tissues
